Ever see what hail does to a patio umbrella? I don't see any ice stones on the pool deck and what looks like a heavy splash in the water has the appearance of a glare, there's a cognitive dissonance associated with pools and umbrellas so to avoid being a faggot of major proportion just agree with me...it's the only reasonable thing to do.
umbrellas are also used for shade. this used to be quite common in western society, and i'm not sure why this went out of fashion. asian cultures do this all the time.
They want their lower halves wet and their upper halves dry. Just because you aee okay with dipping your lower half in water doesn't mean you want rain falling on your head.
Or
They are actually shielding themselves from the sun on a hot day, given how the pool's reflective surface increases the sunlight join them, the umbrella helps prevent them from burning themselves.
Or
They are protecting their privacy from those looking at them from above or a distance using both the umbrella and the shade it provides.
Or
The pool umbrella serves as a natural gathering point within the pool for socialization by just marking a section of the pool for coming together and hanging out.
I cannot believe that the earth hasn't reclaimed idiots like this...I never thought it possible to see such abject retardation, this is what an impoverished mind looks like in mutated humans.
I do not generally mind walking in rain, but I got caught in a sudden rainstorm that was so incredibly icy. I was in so much pain that I was having difficulty breathing. I had to run under some apartment's front-door awning.
By the expression on the one's face, I suspect this could be the case. Why they don't just get out of the pool? No clue.
