Both my passport is expired and no real ID. So going to get the passport settled first.

That's my understanding, Cantaloupe. I'm holding off on all the Real ID BS. I doubt that as many people have it as the media are claiming.

Passport should count because it's proof of citizenship. That's all the real id designation adds to your state id. Verified Citizenship.

You can also use a Transportation Worker Identification Credential if you have one.
