Every time there is a protest it looks like the common denominator is "we need the world's help" (i.e. they need someone else to give them money which will be facilitated by an international organization that will keep a cut for themselves, of course).

So in this case they are receiving investments from international organizations already in the form of infrastructure development so there isn't any need to jump through any hoops and pretend like it's an environmental disaster. I realize I'm preaching to the choir but I just feel compelled to state the obvious.
