Verangians are of Nordic stock and the Scythes may even have linkage to them by way of mingling post raids or invasions, from my learnings the term "Slav(ic)" relates to "slave" more than it does a racial cultural taxonomy...during the times of muslim hebrew invasions around 6/7/800s that went from the Northern shore of the Black Sea, including 3 Balkan peninsula, and up into Crimea and Poland, ie the Crimean Rage, White females were stolen from the North and shipped south to the Ottoman Empire and sold as sex slaves, able bodied young boys were castrated and conscripted into the form of Janissary, the elderly were slaughtered...although ✡️ educated xperts have other etymology theories, Slavs were a combined group of White Races... danes,fins,swedes (Nordic), sythian remnants including White races out of the Balkan areas and Northern Turkey who were, and to present, the only racial culture(s) to coexist without the philosophical/ideological conflictions that we see today because of the ✡️...the vanguard of the White race over a millennium ago was Ruric who is credited with being the father of Russia, the actual origin of the Russian Empire (expansion into Muscovy) is Kievan Rus, eventually the combined White racial groups held to the cultural taxonomy of Slav(ic)...also, during the time of amalgamation between Muscovy and Kievan Rus the Verangian Guard expelled a large number of "BOYARS" (corrupt wealthy land barons, speculated Ashkanazi?
