The bible does not tell people not to be polygamists and fuch their wives maids. Nope. The bible teaches, “yahweh loves me best so I can kill anybody I want. “ The bible absolutely makes it clear that Abraham and Jacob and Joseph and Moses and David and Solomon and Sampson are all the chosen people and they are better than non-jews like you.
I read fine. When I actually sat down to read the bible as an adult I was shocked and sickened by it. It does not promote good morality. They behaved like the taliban and the bible authors praised such behavior. “Yahweh” only ever cared about whether he was worshipped in the proper forms and whether “he” (i.e., the priests) was collecting enough sacrifice. Yahweh cares nothing for our sense of morality.
Catholicism gave me a false sense of what the bible contained in catechism. It whitewashed the barbarity and imorality of the bible.
