This is pretty good. It's very listenable and very well done. The themes accumulate as new instruments are layered on the basic bass theme. It reminds me of "Tubular Bells" by Mike Oldfield, with introduction of each new instrument by Vivian Stanshall. I'm sure you're familiar with that piece.
Personally, I think the greatest bass line ever played in a rock song (and this is an important qualifier) is "The Real Me" by the Who on their Quadrophenia album. Not everyone will agree, of course.
