It is interesting seeing zoomers express a nostalgiac reverence for the 80s and 90s

submitted by HeyJames to NutziHiveKickers 10 hoursMay 5, 2025 18:10:47 ago (+23/-0)     (NutziHiveKickers)

It was a simpler time yes but at the same time crack niggers were running wild and alcoholics were killing people in car crashes constantly

Still having lived through those times, reality was more real back then without the phones than nowadays with fake ass fucking Instagram and chink-tok

Pre-9/11 America was a decent time to live. Everything since 9/11 has been on decline.

I've had multiple conversations with zoomers about what you just said. They literally sit there and interview me about that day and what it actually meant. For reference, I'm 35 and was 11 on that day. I distinctly remember the before and after affect that day had on the world. They, the zoomers, can't fathom what it was like before. Not their fault, mind you. They just literally were born in the after of that day. I have blown many minds in those conversations.

It's funny, I did a school project interviewing my parents about the JFK assassination and they of course remember that day. This was my version, and I'm older, so was in college like my parents. When my daughter was 5 she first learned about 9/11 (we lived in Manhattan at the time so it was a bit more tangible). I'll never forget, she asked me if 9/11 happened 3000 years ago in this little baby voice and I cried all the way home.

I was 21, I told a table of investors that I thought it might even have been orchestrated by our own gov for reasons we do not yet understand. A hush fell over our corner of the restaurant, they were disgusted by what I had just implied. I said nothing of the sort for many years after.

Dunno. People forget just how bad the crime wave of the 80s/90s was. Niggers were at war with us. Three strikes laws and tough in crime shit gave us a decent break until covid. It was bad out there for a while.

We had roof Koreans to keep the niggers in place.

They didn't even shoot anybody

whooooosh goes the tongue-in-cheek comment over your head.

No. Niggers were beating up women and the elderly. They were selling dope to white kids and producing rap music to brainwash them with kikes help.

Pre-internet was definitely better times...not even close

Pre-smart-phone internet was good. Connecting the average idiot to it with smart phones is what destroyed the world.

[ - ] CoronaHoax 2 points 7 hoursMay 5, 2025 21:06:02 ago (+2/-0)

Lot of people don't understand 95% of the people of the world wouldn't even be on the internet right now at without the 'invention' of the smart phone. (The smart phone was a natural evolution that was held back like 5-10 years because telcoms had such a monopoly on anything that happened in the market. It was hardly an invention, more like busting through deinvention.)

So like the 1950s? My dad has an old picture of him online in the 1970s.

Protip: delete your social media and life becomes just like living before social media! Spread the word.

[ - ] MasklessTheGreat 2 points 8 hoursMay 5, 2025 19:33:30 ago (+2/-0)

Can’t! I don’t have social media anymore.

[ - ] Joe_McCarthy 1 point 6 hoursMay 5, 2025 21:15:35 ago (+1/-0)*

THIS IS social media.

Most here are as addicted to it as the most vapid Instagram thot.

You bastard! Not my problem- ever again. GLHF

[ - ] Gowithit 2 points 9 hoursMay 5, 2025 18:23:25 ago (+2/-0)

Chink tok is what is feeding them the 80s 90s nostalgia.

My kid has nostalgia for the 2010's never heard her say anything about the 90's or 80"s

[ - ] observation1 1 point 9 hoursMay 5, 2025 18:52:15 ago (+1/-0)*

I'd say yearning for 2010s is like yearning for 2005 is like yearning for 2024.

That's because everything beyond 2000 has been a single decade, wouldn't you agree? Nothing has changed in 25 years.

What I think they might actually mean, is they miss doing stuff they did 10 years ago but it's still available today, if they tried. Or maybe they miss their old school. But everything from 2010 is still the same as 2025, except TVs are now cheap and electric cars are on the road.

Nastalgia for the 80s means something entirely different.

It means wanting that entire world, now gone, to come back.

[ - ] Gowithit 1 point 6 hoursMay 5, 2025 22:02:16 ago (+1/-0)

Clear difference in 2004-2012 to 2015 to now. People changed and there's about to be another turn of behavior soon that will mark another decade.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 3 hoursMay 6, 2025 00:55:09 ago (+0/-0)

I think youre right about a change from 2025 - on

But zero difference between 2004 and 2020. More electric bikes??

Even the clothes are the same. Nothing has changed.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 0 points 8 hoursMay 5, 2025 20:13:38 ago (+0/-0)

You totally see kids wear T-shirts of 90s bands, though. Kids who are far too young to have seen those originally.

[ - ] Joe_McCarthy 2 points 7 hoursMay 5, 2025 21:14:14 ago (+2/-0)

80s = cultural Reaganism. Just a whiter scene all around. One of my better remembered memories was my buddy's older teenage sister with her John Schneider poster on her bedroom wall. Dukes of Hazzard.

This ironically probably best epitomized the decade though:

90s = height of American power. It was kinda Ronniesque too. The USSR fell, it was a good time to be a patriotard. And let's face it: at the time it didn't seem so offbase. That the US is a cancer was not so screamingly obvious.

[ - ] Reunto 1 point 6 hoursMay 5, 2025 21:49:17 ago (+1/-0)

I don't miss the 90s. I don't miss the past. Screw it. Life gets better and better going forward and I never understood some people wishing they could be a kid again, etc.

[ - ] recon_johnny 1 point 4 hoursMay 5, 2025 23:21:28 ago (+1/-0)

Because they’ve grown up, see the world for how shitty it is—or at least as much as they’re able to handle—and they long for their innocence back. Before they “knew”.

[ - ] CHIRO 1 point 6 hoursMay 5, 2025 22:08:22 ago (+1/-0)

They are presented with the myth of the 80s and 90s, especially from the way these things are portrayed in certain films from that era (and also the way the internet took that portrayal and exaggerated it even more) - a kind of glistening golden era from the minds of millenials.

The issue here really isn't the 80s or the 90s.

It's people recognizing how self-evidently shitty the world currently is, combined with the dissonance they are getting from the gaslighters who say it's wonderful, and then wishing for a time that really amounts to: the lull before the jews accelerated the plan.

They are mythologizing past times as a way of coping with the real absence of something concretely good in the world they're experiencing. It's the function myths have always had, especially the golden age kind.

It isn't a bad thing. It's a symptom of a declining culture when it is past rather than future hopeful.

you still had beepers lmao remember that crap

[ - ] Trope 0 points 9 hoursMay 5, 2025 19:06:47 ago (+0/-0)

It’s very easy to dismiss entire generations of people: Boomers. Zoomers. I have friends of all ages and the kids aren’t stupid.

I mean, the culture is stupefied by design but the kids still have their intuition. Many of the zoomers know the woke faggot shit is millennial faggotry.

[ - ] NuckFiggers 0 points 8 hoursMay 5, 2025 19:26:15 ago (+0/-0)

Every generation gets focused on the generation about 25 years before. Kids in the 80s/90s were into the sixties hippie faggotry and the millenial nigger lovers loved the seventies.

It's all kike marketing.

[ - ] bonghits4jeebus 2 points 8 hoursMay 5, 2025 20:12:51 ago (+2/-0)

Maybe things just get worse all the time.

[ - ] Storefront 0 points 6 hoursMay 5, 2025 21:49:17 ago (+0/-0)

That's because they sublimate what their parents miss. Kids reflect what you miss back to yourself until they hit puberty in earnest and truly fill out their own personalities. Until then, they (and to a lesser but relevant extent the Jew Commerce Overlords) mirror your experience back to yourself.

I miss crack nigger commercial fishermen hiding in their boats here in FL after payday…

It’s now fentanyl nigger fishermen leaning against the fence hallf coherent and half staying upright…
They used to just hide in the hole until they had money for more…
Now it’s these asshats (mostly white trash) having zero shame/fucks given - wanting more smack/pills…. Wondering around hassling the tourists…

Speaking of which,
Where is @Conn77
?
I didn’t see any crazy shit in Pinellas county Jail mugshot database in the last month….

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 7 hoursMay 5, 2025 20:36:42 ago (+0/-0)

It's the same thing as people my age pining for the 70s. I was born in 87.

I wonder if the advent of good enough video quality makes that possible?
