Russia has no choice, unless they take all of Ukraine this won’t end on their terms. This will be a forever war as long as the west has influence in the Ukraine. The only way to win is win it all.

Putin doesn’t want to incorporate Ukraine into Russia. He want to keep it close as a satellite state. Which was what it was befor 2013.
