There are feminine ways to vent emotion like weeping, gossiping, cradling feelings, whatever the hell that hands on thing was in that article.

There are masculine ways to vent emotion like friendly sparring, working out, competing, doing something to build something. Enduring and building endurance for pain is the masculine way.
