My first cast was at age 12 after falling from a tree house that we were building...just a point of interest, back in the mid 70s when working as a Hard Rock Miner, when everyone was tough as the rock being mined, buddy was approached by a number of out of town guys who were looking to get a hold of explosives, which was very easy for us to do, fuck I personally had a stash of SEMTEX, but buddy refused, a couple days later he breaks his leg in a freak accident, he's fresh out of the hospital with a cast half up his femur, he's on Main street uptown and he's approached by 3 good sized guys (Montreal thugs) and he knew what was coming...he beat the living fuck out of all three and he's fighting close quarters between two pickup trucks, he went totally nuclear, someone said he even kicked a bumper with his broken leg but it never slowed him down, the only guy in my life that I never wanted to fight but we were buddies, he wore a 10lb moose hide shirt that he made himself...the only thing that he couldn't beat was a chainsaw, a big fucking saw too, he was felling Douglas Fir in British Columbia when the chain snagged a twig on the through cut and rifled the saw back into his face, cut from his hair line to his chin, bears the scar today, it couldn't even be stitched because of the width of cut and for two weeks he would spurt blood just by coughing, that was the only time that any of us saw this beast incapacitated, great guy and no bullshit...I don't see anyone today that formidable and intimidating...word of advice, before engaging someone in a scrap, make sure he's not a logger or a miner, I'll even throw farmers into the category but they are a solid 3rd.
The last 3 generations are a species of weaklings.
