Society is the process of solving prisoner's dilemmas

When you don't punish defectors, you get more defectors, and the cooperators feel like suckers so they start to defect.

When everyone is a criminal, no one is a criminal.

Defector:

someone who leaves a country, political party, etc., especially in order to join an opposing one:

-She was one of many Communist Party defectors.

-There was no way to know whether the defectors would fight for the opposition.

I would use the term transgressor/trespasser/debtor of the Holy Law, rather than defector, to describe the dilemma that I think you are referring to.

the truth is self-reinforcing

What is the holy law you refer to

The commandments of God, the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Oh, right. I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was a kid - you should probably consider growing up at some point, too. Fairy tales and make believe invisible magical sky wizards are for kids, dude.

And switched to the idea people are just randomly occurring organic robots, aka things.

That's the philosophy of psychopaths, it's in part why Jeffery Dahmer ate people-things.

All based upon the unprovable? That's how society goes wrong.

And most people don't really believe that people are just things.

Belief is akin to imagination, dude. Nothing wrong with it. I'm super spiritual because I believe we can't prove shit, so I definitely believe there are things we don't understand. The belief in a magical invisible sky wizard is a choice, though - no different than santa claus or any other fairy tale.

You can believe things, but you really can't expert to force others to believe them also.

Unless you're in a cult, I guess.

Notice you are the only one concerned with ‘magical invisible sky wizards’.
The prime mover and source of all things is not adequately explained away by some bunkum about nothing exploding, then becoming everything and disobeying it’s own law of entropy to develop from mud to sentient life without leaving a trace of the process.

Correct.

Prisoner's Dilemma is meant to demonstrate the systemic collapse of social systems.

We are in free-fall.

We are in free-fall.

Rome was always going to fall again.
