Amazing how much faster airliners moved when not bogged down by bullshit regulations

20 years from the 707 to the Concorde. 12 YEARS to get a 777 to go from a 777 to ... a 777.

The problem isn't government regulation, but corporate industrial subversion and sabotage. The reason it's taken so long to produce the 777 is because H1B-Visa Indian engineers are nowhere near as competent as the Americans they were hired to replace.

And yet the 777 is already 20+ years old, with the 737 coming from an airframe dating from 1957. Ironically the original 707/717/727 have better crash statistics for their flight servicing times than the newer planes do. And that's with all the extended avionics bullshit in the planes you see today.

The "Concord" was/is the loudest plane I've ever heard.

This is more to highlight how cripplingly absurd regulation is that it took longer to get a 777 to become 777 than it did to make an entire supersonic plane from drawing board to production.

Amazing how well things worked before the planes were designed my shit eaters and assembled by crack heads.

Always makes me lough when I see posts or video of future passenger planes. "in ten years we might have V shaped fuselage... Delta wing passenger planes... " and so on.
I've been hearing those predictions for 20 years with nothing to show of. The only plane remotely different would be the supersonic plane from Boom Supersonic, and they still have a long road ahead of them. And that is not even that radically different or new.
