Sometimes I wonder if some people benefit from the “downvote” in the vein of any attention is good attention or something else? Are they paid for it? What motivates someone to seemingly fish for downvotes the way he does? It’s weird. Being controversial is one thing but intentionally trolling for it, is another.

Honestly, I don't even think he is intentionally trolling. I think he just read too many Hegel fanboys and legitimately thinks that people returning to a primitive state of animal sexuality is the inevitable dialectical evolution of society if we are going to get off the road we're on. And he loves watching eastern European jail bait from 1990s pornos. He maintains/regularly posts in a forum where the administrator is the only active member and seems to honestly believe that high-level politicians, especially from the DOJ and FBI, are personally targeting him. My point is, I think he comes by it honestly. It is too high-effort to be a troll account.
I'm not exactly happy to be saying what I am these days, or living the way I now do, but strange as it is: I think this is all legit.

I'll take the philosophical correction. I think you're right. The Hegel comment is more a pejorative I throw around casually, and if I'm honest, more so as a kind of "philosophical tribalism." What was the line from True Detective? "There's barely enough time in life to get good at one thing." I got good at a different aspect of philosophy and the continentals and later psychoanalysts are something of a blindspot for me. It's often easier to insult them than to deal with the parts I agree with.

1. What made you say you are less than happy to be living the way you now do?
2. What do you see beyond this degeneration? Is there a correction or a meaningful recursion back to something else?
Well, you're assuming, seemingly, that the downvotes are organic. Or the upvotes for that matter. It's just a silly assumption by any standard given how obviously susceptible to manipulation this all is. Besides, we saw with the lost ban that I had downvotes removed from my score. It has long since been confirmed that at least some of the downvotes come from bots.
A broader point given my terroristic lone wolf Siegeposting: why would anyone assume these votes are legit? I mean, duh. Also, if I'm actually a fed - why would I subject myself to visibility suppression through downvotes for over 7 years now on multiple platforms (more than just Voat and this successor site)?
