Is the outrage because of the publication? Or just because of AI?

reddit is overrun by AI generated content - much of it posted by individuals, so why the outrage at the research?

Besides be AI, what is the difference if "real" users post lies too? There is no verification method for real vs AI vs lies.

Jeweddit.com has a LONG history of conducting undisclosed "psychological experiments" on it's user base. The use of AI picking up where they left off shouldn't shock anyone.
