Pennyboards and other retro plastic became trendy about 15 years ago. Partially because they could fit in a school locker. Funny story, my friends father owned a failed plastic skateboard company in the 70s. When he went bankrupt, he kept 1000s of boards trucks wheels in his garage and we'd spend hours assemblying frankenstein boards. Then curb stomp the fuck out of them.
