There's nothing affordable or cheap in Greenwich Village now. It's expensive, yuppy as is all of Manhattan south of Harlem. Anderson Cooper bought a fire station there where he converted into his own private Gaylord mansion where he raises his test tube baby with his homosexual partner while they tea bag each others ball sacks and explore orifices with lube. The days of flophouses for a penny a night are long gone.
Even the so-called 'meat-packing district' doesn't have anything related to meat anymore. It may have 120 years ago, but it's full of over-priced night clubs and weird, trendy types now. But there's a nice sense of anonymity there. You can be weird all you want and you'll fit right in, or at least it won't faze the locals.
America is evil and should be avoided. Another good thing about Trump is its cratering tourism to the US which will make Americans duly suffer for their crimes.

The cheap quarters of the village allowed these bohemians to escape the dreary, industrial world and live a penniless, enlightened lifestyle
