I think it's the oil cooler, but not positive. Added 4 gallons of coolant to it before I started it, no external leaks found. It started immediately and runs good, had radiator cap off and was watching the coolant when the thermostats opened up, didn't see any bubbles or oil in the coolant. Doesn't seem to have any excess pressure in cooling system.

Bite bullet. Break it down, clean it WELL, check for head & block leaks, and replace the gaskets.

I have had to do break down 3 engines so for leaking head gaskets, and a rear main seal. I didn't mind the actual work on the block.
It was the removal-installation of the engine itself that I hate with a passion.
