Two dumb bitches were walking their dogs (one a German shepherd) in my old neighborhood when they started screaming at the top of their lungs. I've been in this situation before. My personal solution is to bear hug the dog. Headlock and block blood flow (not air unless you want it dead) and use your legs wrapped around the dogs torso. Squeeze the air out like a python, dog can't fight if it can't catch its breath.

Mrs Her0n was a vet tech and she has warned me many times that an animal in attack mode will most likely attack you if you jam anything in it's ass.

I bought a pocket knife last year, but haven't yet found a need or use for it yet. I have a utility knife for box opening, a letter opener for letters, and clippers for branches and plant trimming. What do you use the knife for besides stabbing dogs?
