Besides shedding, the big problem with this type of vax is all the variants they're likely to produce. Anything that evolves and escapes an individuals immune system could also prove deadly. I'm convinced this is a hail-Mary from bio-weapons engineers trying to create the perfect mix of infectious and transmissible. The mRNA and gain-of-function labs should be shut down and the scientists put down.

It doesn't matter if Trump, and by extension 'america first' are incompetent or malicious, or truly responsible for decisions like this.

What matters is if they can control or exercise the power to punish officials stepping out of line like this (assuming the leadership even wants to).

The regime supporters in the inner-party/semi-permanent-office understand that if they can get away with enough actions like this, and america-first can't punish, or stop it, or lacksthe political will to do so, then effectively trump, and by extension AF, are the ones that will be blamed.

It's a demoralization tactic but it has valid point.

Power is as power does. A general that commands no respect will either ultimately have their own supporters turn away from them, and/or will be unseated by upstarts in their own ranks.

Mere Failure to rein-in those stepping out of line is, when done enough, indistinguishable by the lay person, from betrayal, regardless whether the reasons be mere political circumstance and convenience, necessity, stupidity, or malice.

And so like his last term, events such as these, and worse will continue for as long as they're allowed.

The Russian's were right to conclude that trump will ultimately fail at reform, if in fact that was ever his intent to begin with.

This... this is what fucking viruses do. They use the host cell's machinery to express their RNA to the point the cell gets so clogged up with viral particles/protein/RNA that normal cellular function degrades and the cell dies, releasing all of the viral particles manufactured to go infect more cells.

I guess the only upside is that mRNA in the blood can't get into other cells without a delivery mechanism (virus, lipid nanoparticles or other), so I guess it might not be quite as bad as just getting a virus? But then, you're deliberately infecting yourself with this drug, so 100% guarantee you catch it, vs. <100% chance of catching a flu.
