Lots of US veterans have the same epiphany about what they did in the Middle East. They were "good soldiers" in that they followed orders and executed their training without thinking. But after the fact, once they get to thinking and reflecting, they realize that the military did not use them to "defend freedom" or whatever catchy terms are used to describe military service.

A jew is a jew, sure, yet he was able to acknowledge wrongdoing on his part and his government. He probably created an extremist that day.

The good goy has excessive unresolved trauma. Couple that with purposelessness (common for deployed combat soldiers returning to civilian life), and you've got a damaged adult who is entirely hopeless. Courtesy of the military industrial complex.

My nigga, if I was purposeless, but did my righteous duty protecting my nation, it would be bittersweet. No soldiers suicided themselved at such a huge rate than americans, because once they get home they realize they didnt fought to protect their home, nor their people, and their war was not even righteous (this last one means that even in the context of meaning on itself the war was contentious at best). Veterans of WW I in Germany were demoralized to the extreme, yet a huge amount of them fought the commies, with no resources, manpower or political push, only because they knew what would happen if commies took over.

I think that PTSD is over-diagnosed and people who sign up are more likely to like killing and to make extreme choices.

Do you think white soldiers in iraq or yemen or afghanistan had more of a conscience? Young guys do what they are trained to do. Very few question their superiors . Its actually pretty remarkable when someone comes forward and admits that they were completely wrong.

You would hope that but honestly I just don’t think it would be that common. I don’t think you can chalk this one off to “jews”.

Its the same problem with cops. We keep seeing these british bobbies harrassing and arresting people for mean tweets. You think, how can these jackasses betray their own people. But thats just what they do, because they are told to do it, and they are praised and rewarded when they do it.
