The owner of NY Helicopter Charter is Michael Roth
Helicopter was leased from Meridian Helicopters out of Louisiana which seems to be run by a regular white guy.
There was a non-fatal crash in 2013 involving the same two companies.
A third maintenance company was sued as a result of the 2013 accident. Who knows who does their maintenance now.

The type of catastrophic failure needed to simultaneously cut the tail rotor from the main body, completely remove the main rotor, and do it without a major visible exterior explosion... would be unimaginable on a properly maintained aircraft.

Something HUGE had to have caused the entire drive train to fail, instantly lock up both rotors, and cause them to sheer off.

Believe it or not, the media reported the Helicopter pilot called in to request an immediate landing after he declared he was low on fuel.

The entire flight from take-off to splash-crash was less than 20 minutes. Shit doesn't add up.

They run flights all day. They don't refuel every time. He tells them when he needs it.

What I heard of the communications, he said he would need to refuel before he picked up any more people, he wasn't worried about it, it was just time.
