I like to use it for making chiky nuggies, and sometimes I place a tostada and top it with ground beef and heat it up.
To be fair, it's just the new woke terminology for a "convection oven". Certainly nothing wrong with them, but they used to be sold as countertop convection toaster ovens, but now they call them "air fryers" and suddenly it sounds way cooler than what Grandma had.
A lot of shit is like this today. They just re-brand it and everyone needs it suddenly.
Again, convection ovens are absolutely awesome, and having a small countertop version is obviously great for small batches of things, but I have to agree that the terminology of "air fryer" annoys me. Nothing is being fried. The air is being moved by fan, and the convection causes a nice crispy surface on whatever you're cooking. My oven already does this.
Too many trendy wendys out there that hype themselves up about stupid shit for 3 weeks, get tired of it because it was useless shit to begin with and then let it sit in some cabinet. Then they're onto the next trend..........the cycle repeats.
