In today’s hyper-connected homes, where every smart speaker, streaming device, and video call demands reliable internet, the gateway to a better experience might just your internet service provider (ISP). According to Parks Associates’ latest study, Home Networking Products: Mesh, Wi-Fi 7, and the Competitive Landscape, ISPs are no longer just selling service, they’re also owning the hardware game.

unfortunately, i'm part of the problem i rent my stuff from my isp. yes i could buy my own modem but with my luck owning several brands when i had dsl wasnt the best of experiences. most of the routers broke on me at the 6 month mark. so at least if this one breaks i can replace it " for free"

ISP routers now integrate personal assistants. They have always-on microphones.

This is what happens when you give normies access to technology.

And nearly all the remaining 29% probably use a router's default firmware.

I used to buy used cable modems but they always shit the bed. Bought a new one and it’s outlasted the last few.

If you're satisfied, what else matters?

Even if unlucky and it breaks in 6 months it would have still paid for itself to own.
