People that dismiss him simply as a pedo probably haven't read him at all. It's like dismissing Marx for not taking care of his family. Ad hominem is VERY lowbrow. It is ideas that matter. Being open minded - or certainly open minded enough to actually read the relevant work product and consider the ideas put forth - is key.

For that matter Nietzsche went crazy. You seldom hear that HERE though. This stuff is of course very ideologically driven.

Neitzzche had a tumor. it is hard to see past pederasty, and 'ad hominem circumstantial' is difficult to not apply to someone who expresses a whole life ideology. All that aside, collective social reform is, imo, a much more successful approach to rehabilitating perceived injustices.

I don't even know what Wilson's relationship was to underage sex. Then again I'm not preoccupied particularly with underage sex. Did he think it was ok to fuck 9 year olds? If it was more like 15 year olds it's a non-issue. The age of consent is 15 or even lower in much of the developed world. 16 in some form in over 30 US states.
