Why, is that a problem?

Since when are monopolies not a problem?

Trees are just any other crop, like wheat or corn.
The only difference is maturity time to harvest.

Name ONE useful commodity made from trees.

Most of those forests are considered to have high wildfire risk, and many are in decline because of insects and disease.

Another win!

And, if you actually are dumb enough to believe in "climate change", this is a huge boon to help solve the problem. Rotting woods creates methane and decrepit forests produce orders of magnitude more methane than cow farts. Lol.

Totally. And if the wood can be used for construction or other ways that don't release the stored carbon, then the new growth will actually absorb even more CO2.

Wish Australia would do that. Especially my state.

So much of our native forest is locked up and inaccessible. We were fortunate this year not to have any major fires (due to so much rain) but it is only a matter of time before it goes up in a conflagration.

Fires can get really bad down here. Moron politicians.
