fwiw...That's air layering, used to replicate an existing plant. Your link in the comments is grafting, used to add a variety to rootstock or an existing plant.
Very cool. And just in time, because I have lots of trees to clone this year. The only thing I'll do differently, is apply root powder to the de-barked branch before wrapping the ziplocked soil around it.
I'm no arborist but that's cloning, not grafting. Grafting is when you get one kind of tree to grow on another kind of tree. This is just creating a genetically identical tree from a branch of the original tree
