^ This. Literally, and figuratively.

They never said the kids would get an education, just that more would graduate. This is how you do that with an increasingly diverse population.

The education system is "to train" the masses. which means to "lay a track in one's mind", not "to make one wise".

They don't want a nation of thinkers, they want a nation of workers.

Standard testing is some bullshit, and we can all agree upon that fact. Education system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

It's currently this way now because school funding is tied to these tests and awarded on a federal grant, currently its about attending school that is the primary focus of funding in our school district.

They don't want a nation of thinkers, they want a nation of workers.

They want you dead or enslaved in your own country. Preferably enslaved. And you won't even realize it.

If you ever want to know how they'll do it take a look around.

You should homeschool your children, even if at great financial cost.

"No child left behind" was literally the dumbest thing we could do for our children.

I would say screw algebra, which I passed in 7th or 8th grade, but they can't do basic math either.

Algebra is the first step to abstract thought. You have to be able to envision possible scenarios of the data given. Kind of like chess.

As a guy that took some graduate level math courses, I can say without a doubt your skills in Algebra are the most important thing for dealing with hard math problems. The ability to simplify and form the equation into something workable is all done with algebra.
