The Judge, Hazel, who sentenced Hasson to 160 months, said he believes the officer was preparing to carry out a “mass casualty assault as a way to act out his white nationalist views.”

“The need to protect the public is of paramount importance,” the judge said.

Hasson, in his first public comments since his arrest, said he has never harmed anybody in his life and wasn’t planning to hurt anyone “in any way, shape or form.” But he apologized to his family, his colleagues and to the public, saying he knew his actions alarmed many people.

Prosecutors said he has been a “closet skinhead” his entire adult life.

Prosecutors also claimed Hasson drew up what appeared to be a computer spreadsheet hit list naming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic presidential hopefuls, including Elizabeth Warren. He also mentioned several network TV journalists, including MSNBC’s Chris Hayes and Joe Scarborough and CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Van Jones.

I just wonder why it is ok for the government to make lists, but if a person makes a list, and has guns, all of a sudden they are a threat. The government makes lists, and has a massive stockpile of guns.

His problem was being in the coast guard and having a big mouth. I'm sure word got out he had unregistered silencers, he thought it made him cool. He had a painkiller that is also an anti-depressant that gets prescribed all the time for military guys.

So his crime was having a big mouth and being around snitches. I'm sure he said edgy things that made his feminist comrades squirm. So they went to command because "bad white guy has unregistered guns".

A guy in the military has 20-30 guns and they have to take a photo of it. It's all so disgusting, and pitifully sad, this existence we're forced to be in.

Tramadol is big in for military guys, it takes the edge off of pain, doesn't make you tired or hinder thoughts too much, and is a mild anti-depressant. Kind of the perfect drug for soldiers. He was probably the dealer for the guys the doctors cut off.
