The entire premise is to introduce volatility until the derivatives market goes boom.
Thats what the on-again off-again tariffs are about. A simpler explanation of that is just infighting, but we've seen enough counter-evidence to suggest the infighting is artificial and has been for a long time.
So this is probably that.
Means the uni-party wants tariffs, and not for the reasons they're claiming.
My opinion, and it's just an opinion, but the only thing "muh Q" people got right was that meme about 'devolution', the delegitimization of all institutions. Just as well, the institutions are rotten.
If any of that is a correct assessment, then somebody at or above the level of the party, decided none of this shit is sustainable, the regime that is, and decided to burn flat and rebuild. We're probably moving to a wholly new form of government sooner or later, probably the former.
Nigger, they voted for Trump to impose tariffs. No one was saying he wouldn't do it. Trump tried to impose bigger tarrifs on his first term. And, Biden was forced to concede that the Chinese tarrifs were a good thing, which is why he kept them.
Trump supporters were getting pissed when he started waining on the tarriffs. He initially promised 15% across the board. Then it was gonna be "retaliatory" tarrifs. Then it was going to be retaliatory tarrifs on selected countries. It looked like he was going to fail to do any of it and most Trump supporters were unhappy about it.
10% across the board tarrifs and retaliatory tarrifs to the tarrifs imposed on US goods that are over 10% isn't what was initially promised, but it's Purdy gud.
