One thing I’ll never miss about my time living in the city: if you came home after 10pm, there was a good chance you’d need to park on the next residential block just to find a spot.
Same. I lived in my downtown for a stint of time. We had private parking with stickers. I called tow companies regularly. Dumb nigger taking up two spaces. Have fun finding your car bud.
We could give woman 2 benefit of the doubt that she was using it as a teaching moment for woman 1 which is why she didn't move her car. But I'm sure she just had a woman moment.
The whole thing is mind boggling. What did pacing off with her feet accomplish? How does that translate to useful information?
Maybe this state didn't have drivers ed. I know Missouri for example (or parts of it at least) do not have drivers ed. Only required hours driving with your parents. Everyone in Missouri drives like a lunatic BTW. I'm not for government, but God damn they don't help the cause of keeping government out of our lives.
When I was young in MO, you could go into the DMV and take the test on your 16 bday. No previous education or training required. (This is not true now; you have to log practice hours and all this other crazy shit according to my nephews). In IL, driver's ed had been a requirement of education for some time and I assumed the drivers would be better in general when I moved here. Turns out, there are shit drivers and niggers everywhere.
There's a simple trick, if there's space for your car, pull up next to the car in front of the spot parellel with it. Start reversing, as soon as your front tires are in line with the rear tires of the car in front of you crank the wheels to bring the back end in, Then straighten the wheel out as you come back, the trick is initiating the turn your front tires are at the back tires of the car in front of the spot.
I was always taught to crank the wheel when your side mirrors line up with the car in front. I don't think there was any rule of thumb beyond that.
Seems to me if you wait till your front tires are in line with the rear tires if the car in front of you, 90% of your vehicle is beside the spot you're trying to get into. Seems like cranking the wheel at that point would be difficult to get as close the curb...
I lived in So-Cal with a full sized pick up for awhile. I'm from areas with gravel roads as the main roads. So I had to research how to do it, because I was struggling. Watched a few videos, it makes sense if you watch a video explain it, its geometry. Now I can parallel park anywhere. Use the back tire trick.
The internet is full of deceipt now. Hard to know what's real and staged. Especially with how shallow society has gotten, working for attention on the internet.
There have been a few women in my life who got very cunty so I ended it and they really thought I would just keep doing shit for them. Old women are suddenly single and can't do a thing for themselves because some poor sap is helping them with the simplest things. It's actually pretty embarrassing when you find out what a retard you were dating. One of my exes lived on popcorn for days because she was too stupid to know how to make any other food.
Fuck. I'm glad you got outta that man. My exes have been more the go absolutely crazy at one point in time. Everything's cool then one day a switch is flipped and batshit comes out.
Gotta hand it to one of them though. Somehow she could keep a MX-5 rear wheel drive manual going through snow. 5050 weight balance.
I could tell a lot of stories about that one. The only good thing about it was I stopped giving a fuck early on so we'd get into some crazy Raging Bull type fights. Those were fun.
That's ok. I'm not going to get into this with you again. I've got better shit to do that talk with an empty egg crate and I'm going to leave on a win.

One thing I have down to a science is parallel parking. One time I was parking in the city and an old man was on the stoop of his retirement high rise. He watched me park into an absurdly tight spot perfectly. I got out and he said, “Wow. That was really impressive, young lady. Did you grow up here?” “Thank you sir! No, I did not.” It was a weirdly proud moment lol.
It's a good feeling to do it well. My big bro "cured" me of parallel parking worries. The only half-day of school I had available to take the driver's test, I get home and I see mom's sedan that I had been learning on up on the ramps with fluid all over the ground. I was distraught but he says I can still take the test in his gigantic pick-up truck with a camper shell. At least it's an automatic. So he measures off the space and I practiced a few times until I got it. Then he says "Just kidding, the car is fine. Now you know you'll have no trouble with the car." And I never have since then!
