But aren't all these people illegal aliens to begin with? On top of that they are committing crime? I think what you're worried about is a slippery slope which could happen but in this instance seems to be appropriate.

No. They were brought here on TPS and Trump revoked their TPS. Many have asylum claims because they were jailed and tortured by Maduro for their part in his attempted coup.

The kool-aid drinkers are the people dumb enough to think that violating the rights of a few hundred people, most who are here legally or had legitimate claims for asylum, is part of some mass deportation effort.
