I haven't cares about movies or TV for years but the whole Snow White debacle just hit all the right schadenfreude buttons. What's the next one of these meltdowns?

The movie really was that bad. I haven't seen it nor will I. Live action from video games or cartoons are never any good. None stand out as successful or better than the originals. None.
My hope is that they won't ruin Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone, which are in the works. But I'm not holding my breath.

Disney OWNS the IP. Ugly spic Zegler or whatever the fuck her name is might have tanked the movie, but she only shifted the priorities of the overhead companies to direct more funding towards a movie that can recoup the losses that she caused.
Disney owns a studio for every movie that they shoot. They get paid government money when they release a movie, about 25% of the movie costs, and then they make deals with theaters to kick back revenue when the movie sells tickets really well. When movies lose money, they just recoup by having another movie outperform the losses incurred by the other one. Disney writes off all the losses in the same ledger. All their losses are put together.
I've heard so damn many people tell me that Disney is done. No, no, no. They're far from done. They're done when not a single movie sells a single ticket, nationwide or internationally. Until then, if you don't like what they're selling, don't buy it.
I even have my suspicions it was some kind of Springtime for Hitler situation where they intentionally let all this awful shit happen. Because they'll make more money writing off the losses than paying tax on the profits.
Think like a CEO. How do you put yourself into a no-lose situation before the game even begins? I'm pretty sure that they knew Zegler was a HUGE liability before she ever got cast into the role. She's going to have YEARS of movie flops and poor audience reviews coming after this.
