You know, I was a fatty when I was a kid. I got picked on until I hit a growth spurt and became really tall. But I was still insecure about my weight.

So, I started running. In a matter of months, I went from borderline obese to fit with a six pack. When you're a teenager, you get results from exercise QUICKLY, incredibly so.

Josh could put some work in, and people would stop making fun of him. It's crazy how differently you are treated as a fatty. I think people see you, are repulsed on an instinctive level, and they have difficulty respecting you- because you clearly don't respect yourself.

It's kind of hard for me to imagine someone that big being bullied. He's not just fat, he's HUGE, could probably beat the shit out of most of the people in his school. That was my experience, once I was tall and not just fat, my bullies backed off because I had to crane my head down to look at them in the face.

I even wound up befriending some former bullies. At the time, I didn't think of it like this, but as a grown man- I owe a lot to my bullies. They gave me the motivation I needed to get myself into shape, and then my life got so much better. Girls started throwing themselves at me, I had more friends, and I just felt better in general.
