Never ask a boomer if they are ok "distribut[ing] wealth"

They're the only group who aptly associate this phrasing to socialism.

An honest poll would have plainly asked if they want their kids to have their inheritence when they die.

Also - what you're missing is that any millenial that actually ends up leaving behind meaningful wealth for their kids, without also teaching them how to earn it themselves, is unwittingly destroying their kids anyway.

The very act of feeling bad for yourself that Mom and Dad didnt leave you a house, is a plain demonstration that you imagine you are scarce and victimized. This scarce mentality is, ironically, the very thing that prevents us from generating our own wealth. What good is it to the grandkids when Dad altruistically aims to leave behind his weath but still dies penniless? Planning on giving away something doesnt really have the same impact, in that case.

In spite of what you might think from seeing this poll, Boomers have given more wealth to their kids then Millenials ever will. In other words: in spite of their intention, boomers are giving more. In a twist if irony, the boomers are better money managers.

The idea is to Teach your family how to generate wealth.

Think for a moment. Suppose grandpa gave you $50k. What would you do? Buy a car? Remodel a home? Move to a better neighborhood? Start a business?

I'll tell you what you'd do. You'd squander it. How do I know? Ive seen it time and again; particularly with that mentality. Because our dad never taught us how to generate wealth, because he wasn't taught either.

What we want is to know is how to generate our own wealth, not a quick hand-out. But we go around wanting that sweet $50k. If only somebody would have given me their inheritence... That there is the ultimate irony that passes from generation to generation.
