Family visits are a privilege, and incarcerated persons must apply and meet strict eligibility criteria to be approved. Only those who demonstrate sustained good behavior and meet specific program requirements are considered

Apparently the visits can last up to 40 hours in a "private apartment" on the prison grounds.

I read about this prison in Bolivia "San Pedro" that is basically a little walled-off town. It apparently has it's own population of non-incarcerated prostitutes, drug dealers, and inmate's families living inside.
