Ive only seen hail once. I was attending a law enforcement academy in Virginia about 1982. I was inside when it started and watched through a window in awe. it was the size of nickels

I've seen it many times, but never anything close to the severity of this footage. We get "sleet" here a lot, which is like icy rain. Hail comes with leftover tornado storms and shit like that, and usually the chunks of ice are no bigger than a quarter. Stings like hell to walk through, and I know a guy that almost lost an eye to it.
