Holy shit this is peak faggotry. Wife did his job for him protecting the carriage and kicking the dog away while he folded like a bitch and didn't even tell the cunt owner to fuck off. She'll be riding that other "gentleman" who stepped in to defend her in no time and kicking the soy loving husband's ass to the curb.

I am really shaken here. I just don't know what to say. I love dogs and so this situation really upset me because even though the dog was under zero-control I just couldn't deal with hearing that yelp. It was off-lead in a public park, it ran up to my wife and our dog off lead and started biting at my wife's feet before turning towards the pram, at which point my wife had to kick it.

The owner came up and screamed at my wife, calling her a psychopath and that she wanted our details to report us ti child services for being "violent in front of your children", and I just turned around at that point without responding, though my response would have been that letting an off lead dog run to a pram after nipping somebody would probably end worse for them… But at that point I just wanted to calm things. To be fair another gentleman in the park told her to step off and tried to more calmly explain things. As I walked off she shouted "kick my dog again and I'll kick you in the face"

I dunno. I feel awful. I feel awful for the dog and I feel terrible because I am circling in my head what could have been done differently. And just one last edit, because it's my fault for not including this, but I obviously feel awful for my wife too having to be put in that situation and she was right.

I am not expecting sympathy. I know what happened is terrible. I just needed to vent. I think I am just going to cry silently in my bedroom. I can't deal with this.

Edit: To add to this, I know my wife is right. Also my wife reacted first because she was behind me with the dog, and then the dog turned and went back to the pram, which is why she reacted first. I have no idea what I would have done but my wife was right. I think I am just in shock and scared

First thing you do is step between the dog owner and wife.
Second thing you do is tell the dog owner to fuck off and put the dog on a leash.
Third thing you do is tell the dog owner if she threatens or insults your wife or child in any way she will regret it big time.

You raise your voice to be assertive but don't yell or show uncontrolled emotions. And most importantly if things escalate you have to be willing and able to react accordingly.

I dont know why you would assume its a pitbull. Thats the first thing people mention when it is one. Lots of rambunctious young dogs will chew on shoed feet to get a reaction. Its not clear to me if this was a full on attack. With an aggressive pitbull there would be blood I should think. Nobody’s mentioned that.
