So the sister presumably knew he was there. Was this guy a retard that was unable to advocate for himself? Does he have a medical condition that might cause his underweight? We are not getting the full story. If I had my full mental faculties and I really wanted out, it would not take me 20 years to find my way out of a bedroom.

In fact on a couple of occassions when I was sent to my room as a teen I got out the second storey window with a sheet rope. My 50 something mother couldn’t keep me prisoner for more than a few hours. Were there bars on this guys window? This is going to turn out to be a neglect case, not a “captivity” case.
