This is an African (Mozambique) curry that can be done with chicken, shrimp, or crab. Goes well with tomato chutney and onion hot sauce. For shrimp or crab, use 1 pound.

They do not use those ebt cards wisely at all. I got food stamps last summer and Im still riding on some of the food I bought then.

Imagine a whole years worth. I'd be able to stock a warehouse.

As for seasoning i've been to a black cookout once or twice and it wasn't so much the seasoning/taste as it was the quantity of food that was impressive.

I could see the argument in either direction. Against is that coconut milk is used to make dishes that are creamy but something with lentils in it will always have some grit so you will never get that creamy result expected from a coconut milk dish.

The argument the other way is that coconut milk often works well with curries, curries are eaten by Indians and other south east Asians, and so are lentils, so you are in the same geography at least. Basically curry your lentils, coconut milk your curry. I think that's his argument. I'm not sure that works but I also haven't tried it.
