There is more genetic distance between northern and southern Germans than between northern and southern Italians, nevermind southern Germans and Anglo-Saxons.

I agree Armos are more distant though. But northern Germans and more northern Germanics often look like Norwegians. To say someone is Germanic is mostly to speak of language here. There are Russians that look like Scandinavians. Yet they get grouped with Balkan Slavs, a pretty dark group.
