How was this filmed? The camera seems way too locked in place behind the car to be filmed from a vehicle behind them. The car clearly changes speed throughout the video but there's never any slight pulling away or closing in from the camera. I'd think it's some kind of camera mounted on a pole from the car or something but there's nothing that I can see. Looks weird.
its that asshole in seattle that was running around terrorizing seattle i think. he had a gopro on a selfie stick that hung off his trunk. coppers got him.
The goal was always to have a motor car that's faster than an electric car -- even off the line. Used to be able to do that.
I'm still dubious that a pure electric would exceed at high speed passing. I don't know what's wrong with the Lambo. Fire out the exhaust is fuel that's not burned in the motor. It's not an afterburner.
Made by Volkswagen in the EU, where artificial limitations make it really tough to even have a motor that can produce the output that it does. Those motors should be producing around 1000 horses stock, as they are considered to be extremely well built. You can generally return this kind of power with just bolt ons.
If you have ever driven one in a 'spirited' manner, you notice that the battery temps rise fast, and then your output power is limited very quickly. None of these cars can maintain the high power outputs - they are 'peak' power, which can only be produced for a short while (very short in the Teslas, longer in e.g. the Taycan which has a higher voltage architecture). The Tesla's with plaid can't even maintain the output long enough to do a proper 0-top speed run.
Gas vehicles can maintain this power indefinitely. EV's have 'show ponies'.
kek Back in the early 90's I had a badass custom Chevy Silverado with a built ZR-1 Corvette engine and tranny in it. I was getting about 600+ horses. I was running 35-12/50 BF goodys. It was decked out with ladder bars. I had 3" exhaust on it and it had a sound like no other. The guy who built the truck was a famous mechanic and knew his shit and had all the machines to get it right and well balanced. It had this low, bassy bellow until I romped down on it then it sounded like hell coming to earth. I could snap your neck if I gunned it in low range. I put a badass stereo system in it. Van Halen/ACDC sounded amazing in it. It had high quality saw blade wheels and upgraded to 4 disc brakes.
"It" happened all the time. I'd be at a red light and a sports car would pull up beside me and wanna try it. I humiliated many of these yuppies. I'd grab 4 wheel drive and the moment the light turned green I'd jump twenty feet grab 2nd and leave their ass in the dust. Wasn't even close ever once. We'd usually do a 1/4 mile. Had a cop race me one time. I know him--he's a buddy of mine. Blew his fuckin doors off. Everybody talked about this truck and wanted it. It had t-tops. It was stylish. The front brush guard was all stainless. It had big ass KC lights with the yellow smiley face covers on top of the roll bar. It had duel gas tanks with the switch to switch them over. It wasn't too hard on gas AS LONG AS I kept my foot out of it. It had Harley Davidson floor mats. I miss it bad. I miss that sound. That smell. That vibe. It was a cool ass truck.
Then one fateful night a beer jumped out in front of me while I was in performance mode and in third gear growling around about 80mph on an old back road. and I hit a tree in a way that I ran up the tree about 15 feet and slid back down it like a cartoon then went backwards into a deep ravine. Broke the frame in at least 5 places. The tree still bears the scars today and I shake my head every time I drive past it. The only thing I hurt was my feelings. It was a once in a lifetime vehicle. I keep a pic of her on my desk. I cried when I said goodbye to her.

Someone added a supercharger to their truck. I would too if it can do that.
