Goats: how do you handle things going well in your life

submitted by Storefront to Christianity 1 monthMar 6, 2025 12:24:33 ago (+9/-0)     (Christianity)

Just seeking some advice - when Covid started, I lost an after school education business I owned and fell on some hard times. I'm a single parent and relocated to find work, only for the company I moved for to go out of business. I'm a single parent. I was depressed for a long time; probably still am. My kids also suffered, from having to move, their grades weren't great and the stuck in the house covid lifestyle took its toll on everyone. But in the past few months, it seems many of my prayers have been answered. Yesterday, I got my sons report card - A+ in math and science. He had some physical limitations early in life, but I also found out he's been doing great in phys Ed, beating several older students in the mile race. My daughter won a scholarship to a tough to get into horseback riding summer camp.

My work has been going better as well. But I find I still have this enormous sense of dread, almost as if it's scarier than when things were bad. Why is this and how can I better embrace positive change as a Christian?

just enjoy it and recharge from all the bad times. Good times don't last, either do bad times. Its all up and down.

“This too shall pass…”

If you thank god for the best of times, thank him for your struggles too.

Pray.

Praise God.

Pray for the power to change the things you know you can.

Let go and let God.

this enormous sense of dread

That’s menopause - just know that you’ve already done incredible things and raised some awesome kids, and keep on keepin on.

There are “successfull” women out there that feel that dread and know they can’t have children and become crazy because they’ve wasted their lives helping some company instead of their own nonexistent family.

Wow this is perhaps an enormous insight. I DID want more kids before my husband passed, and have been mourning that as this time gets closer. It is a sort of death in itself and I wonder how deeply that can effect the psyche.

Thank you everyone for your heartfelt advice.

Oh you are going to fare well - sounds like you will enjoy some incredible time with your children as they grow up. Find people who have intelligent conservative kids around your kids age; try to set your gears into grandma mode in mind, but don’t force anything.

Enjoy the good times while you have them, and prepare for when they aren’t so good. Sort of like Noah, the ark you build now will make you more resilient for when the rain comes.

I think it is worth using the wording: Widowed parent rather than single parent. This adds a great layer of context and escapes the stigma often associated with single parents where the situation often arise from poor decision making.

As winter comes to an end, it’s worth asking if you’ve had a chance to touch grass and get exposure to sunshine. Any processed food or high-glycemic foods cause me poor sleep and mild anxiety/depression the following day. When I eat right, I feel right.

Practice gratitude, when things are going great and when things aren’t. Teach your children to practice gratitude. After saying grace, go around the table and ask what people are grateful for today.

In addition to being aligned with Christianity there are some studies that show gratitude can help resolve that sense of forbidding and self sabotaging behavior that can sometimes morph from those thoughts.

Most whites have an over-developed sense of anxiety over the future. Its why we prepare while brown people dance around and bang on bongos.

Excercise is a good way to reduce anxiety. I take magnesium glycinate which is supposed to promote relaxation. I also quit caffeine. Ive heard good things about NAC but haven’t tried it yet.

Because you know how easily it can all go wrong and you're worrying about it. It's better to use that energy to make back up plans and that should help you ease your mind a bit.

The bad shit conditioned you.
It's no longer relevant, but you're still conditioned.
All there is to it.

Also yes. Know just what you mean.

Find a parish close to you. Visit a Tridentine Mass once. Find peace there.

School is worthless, don't stress your child about his grades unless they affect his chances of entering a university. I would be more concerned about his character development, it's what matters most.

Honestly, I never have, but getting on the honor roll has always been important to him, so I do cheer him on.

The first thing you have to understand is that Trump, like Jesus, is a fake savior given to you by jews. All the "gains" we're making right now are artificial and just there to pacify you while they implement the rest of their anti-white agenda to destroy us. Your feelings are correct when they tell you to dread what's coming. By now you should be noticing that the jews have not only material/institutional control over your society, but occult/spiritual control. You should have noticed that they scripted major events like 9/11, Trump's Presidency, and covid decades before they happened and shoved predictions of them in your face through the Simpsons, X-Files, Back to the Future, and other media that's loaded with not just predictive programming but also occult kabbala symbolism. Once you realize that the primary source of jewish control is spiritual, you'll figure out why the two biggest religions on earth teach you to worship the king of the jews and/or a semitic prophet, and you'll throw your jew book in the trash and find a real spirituality that can actually resist jewish control and help free your people.

Good luck.
