This asshole being "fearless" is part of the problem- he's being fearless WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES, not his own.

There's a pretty good set of reasons why we feel fear. It motivates us to act in a way that may save our lives or those of our people. You shouldn't let it rule you, but you should feel it.
