The praxis was very similar. The witches were killed supposedly to appease God. Sounds similar to human sacrifice.

In the end both were dead. And there are few more horrible ways to die than being burned alive.

Needless to say Christianity had slavery too. Slavery tends to exist anywhere where the population is sparse and the work is hard. We ended up with so many niggers because free whites decided living conditions were adequate in England and refused to keep making the journey.

There was a time when science and magic were complimentary and even derived from the same sources. It revolved around alchemy. He was a 40 something nobody that spent a few years receiving revelations before beginning to form his band to transform the world with a new kind of religion. For a while Islam was even mistakenly thought to be a form of Christianity. He rose from bottom to top then supposedly was raised to heaven.

What I am doing actually is Christian. But the content certainly isn't what one would normally associate with Christianity.
