The federal fat fucker niggers will never do any kind of labor work.

How would someone go about getting involved with this if they're living in the Southeast? Like are there 'Per Diem' type systems to get you out there?

23 gauge stainless; had to patch a coolant coil for a CNC Laser.

Couldnt get my phone in a solid enough position to show the full weld, but what you're seeing there is some chinesium tacks that busted in transit (coil is suspended in a bucket essentially) and had to patch up their globular mess. About half of the weld isnt in the shot because there was maybe 3 inches of clearance to get some filler and a stubby in. Had an HVAC fella there too pumping nitrogen through the coil to prevent porosity.

All I see is garbage.

[ - ] Clueless_Enigma 0 points 3 monthsMar 3, 2025 07:31:25 ago (+0/-0)

That would be all the chinesium tacks that were holding the coil rigid in a fixed position, and the leak was located at of one of those tacks, which I smoothed out (hence why two foreground globs are rounded rather than sharp like the background)

Regardless it was a patchjob on equipment no one else was able to weld up.

If you don't know, then you don't have what it takes.

Look into getting a welding certification from an established trade school in your area... then go from there.

FYI welding pipeline is hard work in all weather, and conditions. Be prepared to be sitting, kneeling, bent over, laying down, and standing for long periods of time. You will have to be in those odd positions to weld the material.

I did go to the local trade school for education, Graduated top of the class if that really matters.

Did you get a welding certification? It's not that difficult if you put in the effort and practice.

[ - ] Clueless_Enigma 1 point 3 monthsMar 2, 2025 20:16:01 ago (+1/-0)

Yessir, Certification in Welding Technologies via aforementioned Technical Community College

Then all you need to do is hook up with an oil field subcontractor, or contractor on the project.

I'm certain that there are multiple companies that have websites for you to apply on. Just look them up.

Certifications are useless. Nobody gives a shit about whether you went to school or not. What matters is if you can pass a weld test on the spot. Typically a 6g.

Overlapping issues such as racism and sexism can create layers of systemic and constant oppression. In our continuing efforts to help right these wrongs, NRDC has been working with and advocating for frontline communities

Donate to help flood our communities with tar babies.

My only issue with that project is the Aquifer. Eco terrorists can do some real damage if they get the chance.

What can you do? Go around it?

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 0 points 3 monthsMar 2, 2025 20:05:13 ago (+0/-0)

The Ogallala Aquifer is fucking massive...

It covers like 8 states, but it is near 1,000 feet down below the surface. It would take a spill years to get that deep in undisturbed ground.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 1 point 3 monthsMar 2, 2025 20:07:08 ago (+1/-0)

Exactly. You just can't build around it.

"Learn to weld" is excellent advice that if taken will teach these heretofore useless people a very productive skillset.

No thank you, there are plenty of bad trigger pullers already.
