Was there a threat to those with a compromised immune system, the elderly, those already stricken by another disease?

It wasn't harmless. I know a person who got blood clots in their lungs and almost died from it. Lots of people did, this was well before the vaccine came out. I get down voted every time I bring it up here but I know what I know.
