They want your e-mail address when they could've just put the map up. Scam.

I'm using a Brave Browser and get no prompt to enter anything other than my zip code to see results for my county / RWD.

That was a popup. Click Continue to site.

I got a dump address for that reason.

Interesting...FLUORIDE is listing as a contaminate. I thought that was put in the water to keep my teeth healthy and stuff.

[ - ] BMN003 2 points 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 19:40:13 ago (+2/-0)

In high doses, such as those near the legal limit, ingested fluoride can actually cause cavities. But more importantly, they interfere with neuron activity and cause an observable loss of intelligence and motivation. Credible research has linked it to a 5-10 point IQ reduction in children compared to similar cohorts with little or no exposure.

Fluoridated drinking water was first used in human experiments in 1945 and became widespread as early as 1950. Some European countries have banned it in response to public pressure but then turned around and started mandating that table salt be fluoridated.

Really gets the noggin' joggin', doesn't it?

[ - ] Stonkmar 0 points 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 20:50:59 ago (+0/-0)

Flouride is only good as a mouthwash. Ingesting it does nothing (beneficial).

[ - ] SteppingRazor 0 points 2 monthsFeb 27, 2025 20:55:52 ago (+0/-0)

It has been outlawed in Israel for over 10 years.

[ - ] Peleg 4 points 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 19:23:22 ago (+4/-0)

Fuck ewg. Those retarded bastards have a section about how contaminated water is somehow worse for shitskins than it is to us! Those fucking turds can go to hell! Because they are lying about that then I can't trust them about anything else.

Thanks for this. Checked and: Oh dear God, no!

I'm using carbon filtration, and I'm still fukked. Hmmm.

[ - ] SteppingRazor 0 points 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 17:04:47 ago (+1/-1)

Carbon only removes the chlorine flavor.

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker [op] 1 point 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 17:10:17 ago (+1/-0)

False - The toxins, heavy metals, and other harmful compounds actually bind to the charcoal and stay there.

[ - ] OnTime 1 point 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 20:44:34 ago (+1/-0)

Activated charcoal does bind with many toxins through a process called Adsorption (not absorption).

Unfortunately for most activated carbon filters from what I’ve read, they have little to no benefit on reducing fluoride unfortunately.

The site OP linked to has the breakdown on this page. https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=SC4610003#find-a-filter

You couldn’t be more wrong. The site you linked has the breakdown of which filters are best for each contaminant. Carbon performs very poorly. https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/system.php?pws=SC4610003#find-a-filter

Efficacy of atrazine pesticide reduction in aqueous solution using activated carbon, ozone and a combination of both

Conclusion...

In the PAC adsorption tests, atrazine shows a rapid reduction in the first 30–45 min. With the lowest and highest dose of PAC studied (4 mg L−1 and 20 mg L−1) for an initial atrazine concentration of 0.7 mg L−1, a reduction of 15% and 83% is achieved for a contact time of 60 min. In the same way, but with a contact time of 24 h, a reduction of 38% and 95% is achieved respectively. When GAC was used, atrazine did not show significant reductions above 10% until after 330 min. With the lowest and

85% removed in 60min, and 95% removed in 24hours.

Use a Berkley Filter.

[ - ] SteppingRazor -1 points 2 monthsFeb 27, 2025 20:53:23 ago (+0/-1)*

Wow you picked one pesticide to show, what about all the other 50 contaminants? My link showed multiple carcinogens, you picked one.
The Berkey filters don’t remove fluoride either, you need an adaptor. That’s why I use ProOne filters.
Also, who the fuck buys filters that take 24 hours to use? Even then you only have 95% removed, enjoy that 5% toxicity.

[ - ] SteppingRazor 2 points 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 17:08:28 ago (+2/-0)

My area is bad. I bought a Berkey gravity system years ago and love it more than anything. Since Berkey filters don’t remove fluoride without an adapter I use ProOne filters that do. Now I take the travel version with me everywhere I go. Filters are here.

Used a homemade Berkey style filter before I read how many failures and leaks they have. No way to really trust them.

I researched other 'candle style's filters to use in it before giving it away and installing an RO system. It has 2 carbon filters after the pre filter and before the RO membrane, and one carbon filter after the membrane as well as a few others.

There are rumours that the mineral devoid water will actually leach minerals from your body... But there are rumours about everything the jew doesn't want you to do to be healthy.

Jokes on them either way. I hate being alive, but would rather not be gay.

[ - ] NeverHappened 1 point 2 monthsFeb 26, 2025 19:07:21 ago (+1/-0)

Are you happy with the RO system? We just use a distiller here but it also has carbon filter. I've spent a lot of time looking into whether or not the minerals etc are necessary in drinking water. There seems to be no consensus so I am figuring we have a good diet and are probably getting what we need that way.
I will say we went a few months using a Brita filter only and the adults noticed memory and focus issues and the kids seemed to have increased behaviors during that time. Could all be psychological but everything seemed to improve over about two months of using a distiller again.

I'll just stick with my Wonderful Amazing well water.
I am blessed beyond measure with this well. It has the absolute best water that I have ever had, and I am very grateful for it.

I only drink bottled water
