After reading the story I think tanking is way too strong a word.
They are declining EV sales are declining and of course they're facing new competitors that are building cars that are actually competitive with Tesla for the first time ever.
But people are also holding on tight to their pocketbooks and not many people are buying a lot of cars I don't think right now. And of course the EV credits drying up are going to hurt
I think if you're investing in Tesla these days you really have to be investing for the robot futures.
I believe Tesla will be a dominant player in the robot market although there are several others that are very good that you don't hear about but I do think Tesla has always figured out a way to build things more cheaply faster with better quality and more interesting features for the most part.
I do think also we're very close to the robo taxi being a real thing finally after a decade of promises. The self-driving now can handle just about any situation if you've been following that on YouTube which means you can actually have a self-driving car that'll pick you up at the door and take you pretty much anywhere you want. And once Tesla starts building self-driving cars that they put out there as a robotaxis the amount of money they can make compared to the amount of money they can make while selling Tesla's is just exponentially greater.
So quite honestly if Tesla stock goes down as a result of some of these stories that probably be a good time to buy because robitaxes are going to increase their profits exponentially and I believe their robots sales are going to be incredible sometime in the next five years. They're apparently going to make $6,000 of them and they already have some working in factories right now in their Tesla factories. You just can't even imagine a world where robots have taken over so many of the labor jobs that are in warehouses and other places now and I think Tesla's going to be a big leader in that field. And quite frankly if you don't own some stock in a company that is going to be building the machines that are going to replace you in your job then I don't know where your income is going to come from.
