I live in Maine. We usually make a quart or so of syrup and drink gallons of sap. We will usually still boil a 5 gallon bucket of sap down to 3.5 or 4 gallons. Kills bacteria and bugs and gives it a little extra sweetness. That said, I would not buy it.
