I don't advise people as I do expecting them to change their minds, but out of duty to my own conscience. When those I've advised later seek me out for help when the consequences of their decisions should lead to the predicted catastrophe, I only want to feel one thing. Peace of mind knowing I warned them before their life came crashing down around their ears when I ignore their pleas for help by blocking their emails and phone calls.
